As a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I didn’t grow up in the YM program — and when I was called as a leader, I couldn’t find any resources to help me plan activities or lessons.

What I did have was a Deacon-aged son, 14 years of experience in the Church, and a 20-year military career. And along the way, I learned a few things that the youth think are pretty cool.
